Miracle of America Museum

I love how serendipitous life can be when you let it! My original travel plans this past weekend were foiled by a number of different circumstances, but along the detoured route I ended up randomly encountered the Miracle of America Museum in Polson, MT 😍😍 To be honest it was the DUKW (a 1940s amphibious 6x6) parked out front that caught my attention as I absolutely love those things, so I immediately pulled a u-turn to go take a closer look. Little did I know the pleasant surprise I was in for. This 5 acre museum is packed to the brim with vintage vehicles, machinery, technology, and trinkets from American history. Tons of local stuff ranging from farm equipment to emergency response and military equipment, to Glacier National Park snow removal rigs. I spent maybe 90 minutes there and only saw a fraction of it, and my pics here represent maybe 1%! The patina here is unbeatable; I'd absolutely love to go back with a proper DSLR and spend a full day just admiring every detail of this awesome collection @miracleofamericamuseum

P.S. Regarding the final pic I have here, I love that they invite pianists to play the antique piano. It has always annoyed me how so many museums and such have huge "DO NOT PLAY" signs posted on their pianos. I understand for sure, but I appreciate the sign they have here with such clear and sensible rules defined!

P.P.S. The '30 Ford Model A with tracks was my favorite machine here, even beating out the DUKW out front
