Highland Village Museum
The Highland Village Museum in Nova Scotia is pretty neat. It outlines the timeline of Scottish settlements in the region and how they evolved from the mid 1700s through the 1920s. I find myself very drawn to the later portion of this time period just in general, specifically the architecture and interior design aspects. Observing the simple functionality of furniture and technology from the late 1800s into early 1900s always strikes a special type of nostalgic chord in me. I once heard somebody describe the feeling as: "Makes me miss something I never had."
